Hello Walkers, welcome to sunny London! We’re on CHARING CROSS ROAD, across from
Leicester Square Underground Station in fare zone 1, served by the Northern
and Piccadilly lines We’re now heading west along Cranbourn Street It’s noon in early March 2020
with the temperature currently 8°C/46°F LEICESTER SQUARE Giant Panda offering hugs for tips Swiss Glockenspiel on SWISS COURT Chinatown Gate COVENTRY STREET London Trocadero is a
former entertainment complex originally built in 1896 as a restaurant,
which closed in 1965 the complex reopened in 1984 as an exhibition
and entertainment space, closing in 2014 as of 2014, it is under redevelopment
to become a hotel The Horses of Helios water fountain featuring a bronze sculpture
of four horses by Rudy Weller The Daughters of Helios (or Three Graces) which depicts the three Charites:
Aglaea, Euphrosyne, and Thalia PICCADILLY CIRCUS Piccadilly Lights advertising display Piccadilly Circus Underground Station in fare zone 1, served by the Bakerloo
and Piccadilly lines Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain topped with the iconic winged sculpture,
widely believed to be Eros The London Pavillion, currently hosting
the Body Worlds exhibition REGENT STREET Hamleys is a world-renowned,
multi-storey toy store MADDOX STREET Maddox Gallery known for its impressive facade displays,
such as this ‘I think you love me’ one Back onto REGENT STREET

  5. Those buildings reminded me of β€œthen and now” photo sets showing what these places looked like from 1860s-1930s vs now. It’s fascinating to see people wearing clothes that would now be considered quaint costumes walking past the same facades a century or century and a half earlier.
