Korean women are famous across the world for their radiant, blemish-free and even toned skin, that is nothing short of perfection. For them skin care is not just about focusing on the right beauty products but also doing the right things to ensure that their skin stays youthful and healthy. I’m Saachi, and welcome back to Beauty Guide with Myntra. Today’s night-time routine is inspired by the trending Korean skin care regime. Cleansing is indispensable to every woman as it encourages the skin to breathe and restore itself. So on days when I’m not wearing a lot of makeup, I opt for a foam cleanser. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam has a soft and creamy consistency. It’s foaming property flushes out impurities and excess oils while removing the makeup without irritating the skin. A pretty safe choice for sensitive skin, I must say. On days when my skin looks dull and lifeless and I want to improve my skin tone, adding an exfoliator to my night time regime does the trick for me. The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Lava Scrub gently buffs away the dead skin cells and purifies open pores, leaving your skin soft and supple. I make it a point to exfoliate twice every week as this helps to absorb skin care products better. After cleansing, toners hold a very special place in every skin care regime as they help in balancing out the skin’s pH levels. Now that I have extremely dry skin, I opt for products that force-feed moisture into my skin. Currently, I’m using the Jeju Pomegranate Revitalizing Skin Toner by Innisfree. The antioxidants and hyaluronic acid present in the toner hydrates parched skin and preps it up, leaving it nice and tight. Now for the next step, we’ll use a serum. Serums are specially formulated with a high concentration of active ingredients that infuse hydration, promote collagen production and enable skin healing. The Face Shop Chia Seed Moisture Recharge Serum is my ticket to a daily skin-beam. What did we do before sheet masks were invented? I absolutely love this new trend that has taken the world by storm! Sheet Masks are basically cotton sheets that are soaked in rejuvenating ingredients that are a godsend for fatigued skin. Within 15 minutes, my skin immediately plumps up as the necessary nutrients get to work. I normally stock up on a range of these face masks as I pick one depending on what my skin needs. The skin around the eyes shows the first signs of ageing, so taking care of it is very important. An eye cream will help slow down or reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and makes sure that your skin around the eyes stays soft and moisturised. The It’s Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Eye Cream works great for me as it has a relaxing and cooling effect on the eyes as well as the usual benefits of an eye cream. For a routine that feels luxurious from start to finish, using a good night cream is super essential as it has antioxidants present in it that relieve dryness and improve the luminosity of your skin. I apply a thin layer of the Innisfree Black Green Tea Cream a few minutes before hitting the pillow, so it gets absorbed into my skin and keeps it moisturised through the night. There’s a reason that Korean skin care routines have taken the world by storm and thanks to the internet, we too can all sample little bits of exotic skin care and apply them to our lives. I hope you’re excited to try out my simplified version of this iconic Korean beauty regime! All of these products are available on Myntra so achieving blemish-free, glowing skin is just 7 products away!
