which might have accumulated on your skin over the course of your daily business. By washing your skin off with a gentle cleanser,
it also helps by protecting your skin and making it resistant to dehydration and other
possible causes of skin damage. Additionally, not only does a cleanser help
clean and protect your skin, but it also makes your skin more prepared to receive other skincare
products and absorb them more effectively. Just make sure to pay close attention to the
ingredients that make up your cleanser, as some of these cleansers can be potentially
harsh on your skin depending on what they’re made of. 2. Use an Exfoliant
Now that we’ve got your skin all nice and clean by way of a gentle cleanser, the next
step is to make use of either a physical or a chemical exfoliant. But why do we need to exfoliate in the first
place? For starters, as you get older your skin starts
to slow down when it comes to replenishing itself, meaning dead skin isn’t replaced
as quickly as it used to be. Exfoliating helps to gently scrape away that
superfluous dead skin that’s currently contributing to your aging looks, and washing away those
dead skin cells and reveal your fresh face underneath. Exfoliants can be broken up into two categories:

its supply of sebum. While there is a silver lining to losing out

make sure to apply plenty of moisturizer in order to keep your epidermis nice and lubricated. So what kinds of moisturizers should you be

contain what’s known as water-binding humectants such as glycerine and hyaluronic acid, as

uneven patches of pigmentation to break out on your skin. That means wearing sunscreen to protect yourself
from the physical signs of aging that can be brought about by too much sunlight. Make sure your sunscreen of choice is on the
broad spectrum of SPF 30 or higher to make sure your skin is safely covered. And don’t just save your sunscreen for beach
