Hello friends, today I am sharing with you how to make safe, herbal drinking water at home In the market, we usually get two types of mineral water – purified or spring water Both are usually stored in plastic bottles over extended time periods, first at the store and then at home after you purchase it. This may not be safe or healthy. I am going to show you how I make safe, herbal drinking water at home using water (cold water from tap) that was filtered and boiled at home. Ingredients: Ginger (washed well, peeled and crushed), cumin seeds that you use in curries Tulsi leaves (these are from a plant I have here at home), and pathimugam (Indian redwood or sappanwood) These ingredients should be used fresh but are also available in powder form from Amazon 1. Ginger-infused water – Bring the water to a boil (I am showing quantities for one glass of water) Add 2-3 crushed ginger pieces. Place the lid and turn off the stove. Allow the water to cool Don’t keep the water boiling after adding the ginger 2. Cumin seeds-infused water – Bring the water to a boil, add a quarter tsp of cumin seeds Now place the lid and turn off the stove. Allow the water to cool 3. Tulsi leaves-infused water – Bring the water to a boil, add 2-3 fresh tulsi leaves Now place the lid and turn off the stove. Allow the water to cool 4. Pathimugam-infused water – Bring the water to a boil, add a few shavings of pathimugam as shown Now turn off the stove and place the lid. Allow the water to cool The ginger-infused water (Chukku vellam) has anti-inflammatory properties and is good for curing digestive problems Cumin seeds – infused water has antidiabetic properties and is also good for curing digestive problems. Children will enjoy drinking this water due to its distinct yellow color Tulsi plant has a lot of medicinal value.
